Hose2Habitat Services and Activities

 

If you have specific questions or requests, please contact us at Lisa@Hose2Habitat.org. Please keep in mind that we are 100% volunteer staffed by 3 part-time volunteers who all also have full-time jobs, in addition to the wonderful people who volunteer as guest workshop leaders and for other events and our board of advisors.  If we are traveling, conducting a workshop, or especially busy with our full-time "pay jobs", it may take us longer than we'd like to get back to you.

 

To the extent our resources allow, our services include, but are not limited to, the following:

 

• Facilitating donations of fire hose and other materials

• Distributing instructions and ideas for enrichment items 

• Conducting workshops on making enrichment items, rope splicing and knotting, and other skills

• Conducting and facilitating build workshops

• Conducting enrichment contests to encourage innovation and sharing of enrichment ideas

• Facilitating enrichment research

• Providing mini-grants to keepers for professional development

• Forming partnerships with corporations and government agencies for ongoing donation programs

• Facilitating Jane Goodall Roots & Shoot projects, Scout projects, and other youth projects

Except as related to workshops and in other special circumstances, our services do not include the following free services:

 

• Free shipping of any items or materials, including fire hose

• Free delivery of any items or materials, including fire hose

• Sale or donation of completed enrichment items

 

Except in extraordinary, peculiar, very unlikely circumstances, our services do not include:

 

• Giving or viewing PowerPoint presentations
